Do you feel lost?

Unsure what to do with yourself or time because you feel uninspired and unmotivated? Does this feeling of being lost impact you in a way that hinders your ability to function? If you found that you’ve answered yes to any of these, look no further.

I want you to take a moment, and really evaluate your feelings.

Don’t look at your phone, or scroll Facebook. Stop for just a moment, sit in a quiet space, and truly think about why you may feel the way you do. Are you unmotivated because you don’t have enough energy to engage in your hobbies? Are you too distracted by the real world to let yourself stop and think about your wellbeing? If you continue to answer yes to these, I want to pull out a notebook, or a piece of paper, and start writing.

Write about things you love, things you hate.

Write about your favorite color, or a few lyrics from your favorite song. Write about anything that has an impact on you and your life. After you’re done, let yourself look at all the thing you care about – all the things you think about.

Now you may not have control over all the things you wrote down, but you do have the control to write and evaluate.

One of the biggest downfalls of living in such a fast paced society is that we rarely get the chance to assess our own lives in a personal and fulfilling way. This lack of assessment often drives us to feeling stuck, unmotivated, and uninspired.

So write – let yourself indulge in even the simplest pleasures of your mind, of yourself.

Not only will the world slow just a little, but you will be reminded of who you are, and maybe then, you won’t feel so lost. Let yourself find you. Remind yourself of you. Because only you can make that change.
