Coffee is enjoyed by millions of people throughout the world. Many of us enjoy a cup or two to get us started in the morning. It increases alertness, arousal, and our cognitive performance. A new study investigated the relationship between coffee consumption and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). For those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, MCI is looked at as the starting stage of symptoms. The study discovered that those who increased consumption had higher rates than those who reduced consumption of coffee. However, “ those who habitually consumed moderate amount of coffee (1 or 2 cups of coffee/day) had a reduced rate of the incidence of MCI than those who habitually never or rarely consumed coffee.” click for more.
